Although you can tweak Mozilla's browser using the about:config page this Firefox add-on simplifiles the process providing easy access to all the most popular customisation options including tweaks for accessibility browser behaviour, appearance and tabs. To use Gui:Config just go to the Tools menu and choose Advanced Settings.
