Quick Search is a free local search tool to help users quickly locate files or folders instantly by key words. It is a much faster and easy-to-use alternative to Windows Search. It searches initially when you enter key letters and displays real-time searching results. Quick Search offers a search filter to limit search range and narrow down the search results for higher working efficiency with an intuitive interface.
The Windows search tool has improved significantly over the years, but it's still quite slow. Quick Search bypasses this to use your hard disk's raw Master File Table to create a search index and delivers speedy, comprehensive results from the moment it's installed. The list of matches is refined as you type and you can filter results by category ( Shortcuts, Folders, Documents, Pictures, Videos and Music ) and/or srt then by Name, Size and Date Modified.
