All running applications are given the same priority in Windows. TopWinPrio changes this by automatically diverting more system resources to the program or window thats currently on top - the one you are working in. The difference won't be massive but you should notice a bit of a boost on slower systems. By default the main process priority will be changed to AboveNormal but you can switch this setting to High or RealTime. You can also lower the priority of all inactive windows.
