As well as real-time protection Immunet offers a choice of on-demand scans - Full, Custom (specific files and folders) and Flash (processes and the Registry). The program integrate with the right-click context menu, so you can scan individual items on demand. Because Immunet relies on your PC being connected to the internet for its definition files, previous versions offered only limited protection when offline. This latest release changes that by giving letting you install ClamAV offline protection during the set-up process. Another new feature is the ability to specify how the software works. It is a worthy and interesting inclusion that should please advanced users and system administrators. Immunet was recently endorsed by Google, which has added it to the Google Pack (http://pack.google.com) of essential free software.
