This Firefox extension turns web-based apps into Desktop ones. Once you have installed WebRunner, navigate to your favourite web services, such as Gmail, Google Docs, Picnik and more and then (assuming the browser menu bar isn't visible) hold down Alt and go to Tools, creat WebRunner App. Name the app and choose the browser elements you want. These include a navigation bar, menu, status messages and so on. Decide where you want shortcuts to be created and pick an icon for the app.
