Sandboxing an application ring-fences it from your system so it can't install viruses, Trojans and other malware. BufferZone Pro has long been one of the better sandboxing tools, but while the software used to coast $39.95, it's now FREE. By default, BufferZone Pro will sandbox your browser(s) and any unsigned programs but you can increase or decrease the protection level using the sliders. The program also includes a powerful firewall. At the moment, BufferZone Pro only works on 32-bit systems, but a 64-bit version is in development.
