Magix Photo Manager 10 is an excellent free tool for organising, archiving and sharing your digital photos. It can bring order to even the messiest of image collections and the latest version features an enhanced interface, faster performance and lots of useful new tools. The Photo Import function has been improved to make it quicker and easier to grab pictures from your camera, camcorder and scanner as well as audio and video files. You can even import uncompressed images - in RAW format - from hundreds of popular camera models. Another notable new feature is face recognition, which automatically identifies and labels people so you can find pictures of a specific person instatly. Photo Manager will detect up to 10 different names and can also spot duplicate and similar images. When you are organising your images, you can now use thematic categories to group shots together such as night scenes or beachsnaps. Pictures can be rated out of five so you can sort them by importance and quality. Magix Photo Manager 10 also introduces new sharing options such as the ability to create an online photo album. This can be customised with more than 180 templates to which you can add background music and an integrated video player. Additionally you can now upload your photos and videos directly to Facebook, Flickr and YouTube for friends and family to view and comment on. The simple-to-use software comes with plenty of tools for optimisimg your photos and serves as an impressive free alternative to Google Picasa.
