A social-media dashboard like Tweetdeck (www.tweetdeck.com) makes it easy to connect with friends and share your thoughts and content across several social networks. Instead of having to post to Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin separately you can fire off a single update to all the services at once. MultiMi is a similar tool that offers the same features but also adds support for numerous cloud-based apps including Gmail, Hotmail, Youtube, Calendar, Flick, Picasa and Box.net. To start using MultiMi you first need to connect some accounts. Content pulled from the services you add will appear on the home screen providing a useful overview. The sidebar lets you narrow things down by category. Select Photos for example and you will be able to browse images that are on your hard disk shared on social networks and found in email attachments. You can send messages and update you status via the Share button and also upload media files. Where MultiMi really shines is in its use of drag items such as photos and documents from your Desktop to the program and also drag content around inside the software. You can email Facebook photos and Youtube videos turn messages into tweets and so on. This isn't quite as useful as it sould be however because direct sharing between services is often prohibited. The program includes a web browser so you can view links as you receive them and integration with AVG LinkScanner prevents you from accidentally visiting unsafe sites.
